The next Chicago Aquatic Plant Society meeting will include a presentation covering Plant Varieties, Placement, and Pruning. We will also be doing a simple hands on Workshop where you will learn to attach Moss, Buce, Ferns and Anubias to rock or other hardscape. Everyone in attendance will be able to make and bring one home. If you have any of these plants that you would like to donate please message Marvin Lo.
The meeting will be between 1-4pm on Jan 20th and will be located at the Fountaindale Public Library in Meeting Room B on the first floor. 300 West Briarcliff Road Bolingbrook, IL 60440. In case you did not already know, at every meeting we also Trade Plants and have a Giveaway Raffle. So please bring plants to trade. We will also be collecting plants for the 1/28 swap so please trim your tanks and donate as much as you can!!! Our meetings are also family friendly so feel free to bring the kids as well.
Wabi-kusa is an art form that highlights the simple, natural beauty of aquatic plants in an indoor aquatic garden. The Chicago Aquatic Plant Society invites you to join us at the beautiful Garfield Conservatory in Chicago for a Wabi-kusa Workshop.
We will provide instruction on how to create this small garden and provide the materials and aquatic plants for you to create your own art to take home. We will provide instruction on how to create a specialized substrate ball, introduce the plants, and care for this low maintenance living piece of art in your home.
Entrance to the event is $5 per person or free for paid members of the Chicago Aquatic Plant Society.
