Join us on Sunday, March 1st for a special presentation with Tristan Watson, lifelong aquarist and owner of Tristan’s Tropical Fish in Evansville, Wisconsin. Tristan will share his extensive experience breeding and maintaining South American dwarf cichlids and other nano fish species.

His talk, Raising Nano Fish and More in a Midwest Greenhouse,” will cover species behavior, spawning techniques, and how to build stable environments that support healthy, sustainable breeding programs. Attendees will gain practical insights into aquarium management and learn how small fish species can bring big rewards in the home aquarium.

Whether you’re a seasoned hobbyist or new to fishkeeping, this event promises inspiration and actionable knowledge from one of Wisconsin’s most dedicated aquarists.

CAPS also hosts free plant trading and a giveaway raffle for all in-person attendees at the meeting (must be present to win the raffle). This time around we will have SHRIMP included in the raffle! Bring your plant clippings to trade and get your aquatic plants or aquascaping questions answered!
